Mindless Ramblings of Brooke: Disneyland Day 5

Sunday was our final day at Disneyland. On Friday afternoon it hit us that we had 2 days left and not enough time to see everything but alas we did see everything. We missed some parades and visiting with Tinkerbell and her friends but everything was done at least once.

Sunday was another very long day. We arrived to the park when they opened and was amazed at how busy it was at 9:00 by 12:00 the park was insain with how many people where coming in. We were prepared for half a day in the park a nap then going back to the park. Half way thru the day we were not ready to head back to the hotel luckly Sunday evening was a decent evening and I survived with with capris and a blanket.

We started our day off at Disneyland. We had breakfast reservations at Plaza Inn- Breakfast with Minnie and Friends. There were about 10 or so characters there. They made their rounds inside and outside. It was a beautiful day outside so we sat outside in the sun. The breakfast was buffet style with so much variety. I had my Mickie Mouse waffles that I was wanting. Highlights of the breakfast was yummy food, not waiting in lines to see characters, watching Graffiki play on the stair railings, and Chip suprised me from laying his head on my shoulder.

After breakfast we headed over to California Adventure and played. We focused on the things we enjoyed most, and things that were enjoyable. We first tried to get a fast pass to cars but by 11:00 all the fast passes were sold out so we didnt get a chance to do that ride again. We decided to grab fast passes to Grizzly Bear run which is a water rapids ride. Ariana was not thrilled about riding a water ride so we bundled her up in KayLynns jacket so she wouldnt get wet. It was such a warm day outside we wanted to hit that up while it was nice outside. We went over to a play area by Grizzly Bear Run which has nets you climb and play in thats 3 stories tall. Ariana had a ball and got away from us so after a freak out of 5 minutes and parents noticing we had lost her we quickly found Ariana. She was upset as I was to so we calmed her down by riding one of her favorite rides- Little Mermaid. We went on Soarin Over California which is Ariana ultimate favorite ride. The ride was a 35 minute wait and we told Ariana that is a long wait we can do a fast pass and ride a little later in the day but she wasnt happy about that she insisted on waiting the full 35 minutes. Almost to the front of the line we were going to be the next group going into ride the ride and was informed the ride had broken down to wait 10-15 minutes and it would be up and going again. We waited the 10 minutes and the ride got working again. While riding Soarin the ride broke again with us on it and we glidded back to the ground got fast passes to come back later in the day.

After getting stuck on Soarin we went to Paradise Pier and KayLynn got Ariana face painted. Ariana chose to do a unicorn. I wish the paint had stayed on a lot longer the unicorn was so cool. KayLynn and I took turns doing single rider for California Screaming rollar coaster. First time I rode it and had a smile on my face and I rode in the first row. The day was diminshing quickly so we decided we really wanted to see Aladdin and had about an hour before catching the show so we took Ariana to Bugs Land and rode a few rides. We took her to The Bug Theatre to watch Its Tough To Be A Bug. Ariana couldnt sit more than 45 seconds in the show it was too much for her to handle. The show is 3D with effects and its basically the humans are being invaded by the bugs so the bugs try and kill the humans in all ways that humans try to kill bugs. KayLynn and I were laughing so hard at Ariana reactions and all the other kids around. We headed off to catch Aladdin. The show is broadway style and is 45 minutes. Ariana fell asleep half way thru and continued to sleep until about 45 minutes before the fireworks. I woke her up to have her eat a little bit of dinner and she did not last thru all the fireworks and fell asleep half way thru. We headed back to the hotel after the fireworks and crawled into bed.

the light above the firestation is Walt Disney apartment. the light is always there in memory of him to show that his spirit is still watching the park.
