Adventures of Hair & Hair Bows

I'm just a Mom. A Mom who enjoys adorable looking kiddos. Well for me 1 adorable looking princess. Shes had her hair done since she was a few weeks old, its second nature for us. Over the summer cute hair is a low priority. Even when going out to the store its throw it up into a ponny and lets go. Sometimes, it doesnt even get done or I give the brush over to Ariana and have her brush her own hair, which as most Moms know leaves only half a head brushed well....
a typical summer ponytail- it might have not been touched that day just still pulled up and looking cute

a fast brush thru the hair done by Ariana "here brush your hair while I get changed so we can leave"

Now its September. Time to get back into routine. This year I decided to take Ariana to the salon and get a real haircut instead of a trim. She got it styled so this year she can brush her own hair and put her favorite headbands on. I had the beautician trim her bangs, add some layers and some shape around her face. I was always jelous of her beautiful red hair, well, now Im more jelous!
her "before" hair- long and beautiful (Ariana being silly as always- can you tell its summer? I let her pick out her unmatching outfit)
And its getting cut- her long beautiful hair being cut (only about 2 inches)

A school hair style
Once school starts we get on the set routine.... But dont think that every day is a lazy day around out house. Yes we still care about how we look when we walk outside our house- just to bigger activities that dont involve shopping. And no, every school day will not consist of "fancy hair"

All of Ariana's school clothes have been baught. I was going to spend the $6-$8 per hairbow for Ariana and decided nah, Im trying something else. See, last year I decided to make some bows but after a few months decided that most were crap. I only watched YouTube videos and used hot glue. This year I decided to spend the $15 and buy a bowdabra. A wonderful hairbow tying tool. Yeah, now I'm hooked. A step by step guide with tons of hairbows. Then I have google imagines to find more variations. I am having fun, I found a new hobby. So here are some of my hairbows.

Then a friend has a daughter in cheerleading. The girls are all in Elem school and cheer at football games for boys their age. How cool is that!?! She said the girls got hairbows that came with thier cheer outfits but were cheap (go figure) so asked if I wanted to make 9! Heck ya!!! I've had fun and learned a lot. The bows are 6" wide and 8" long. The ribbon is 2" wide ribbon, twice as wide than I usually make. Then I had glitter to work with, and I decided to starch. Ive never starched my hairbows. I have bought hairbows starched but never starched myself. And oh, how simply adorable! I hope these cheerleaders are going to be so proud! The coach got the ribbon and I made them.... Now, Im thinking with a bit more practice I might be able to do craft fairs and start up a website and sell them. Im thinking big stuff like wedding bows, and swags, and gift bows, hair bows, puppy bows, baby bows and of course cheerleading hair bows.

So hit me up and tell me what you think! Would you buy some from me? Of course, remember, these are just the beginners so they are definatly not perfect :)   Well besides the cheerleader bows, they are simply adorable!
