We got a bit later of a start but since the Provo Canyon is 25 minutes away it wasn't a big deal. We got in the Canyon at 12:45 & home by 6:15. It was really cool to go there because my family used to go to Deer Creek State Park which is in the Canyon so when we got close I got excited because I knew where we were at. When we got to Heber City we decided to go to Strawberry Reservoir. I had heard about it, and Will's co-workers go there all the time. Unfortunately if you don't have a boat and fishing gear Strawberry Reservoir is a bust. It wasn't what we were hoping for. We turned around and decided to go to Deer Creek State Park, but we found out you can't have dogs and we had brought Bear. Well, we had 2 choices, either had down the Canyon because we saw plenty of parks along the road or go to Sundance. We decided to head down the Canyon and stop at the first park.
We stopped at Nunn's Park, there were a lot of cars and was near the pretty rock formations so we knew it would be fun. We had no clue what we were in for. We took the trail and found a picnic site and there were so many people in the trail. There were families, dogs, couples holding hands, and kids with wet swimsuits so Will asked a couple where the trail takes you. The man said the waterfall (like we were aliens stranded on a me planet, he was shocked we had no clue). We said that sounds like a fun walk maybe we should check it out. Wills parents will be here in a week and a half so we are trying to come up with fun cheap things to do and the falls might be fun, so we check it out. We ended up taking a trail to Bridle Veil Falls. We had so much fun. Bear and Ariana has fun wading in the water at the bottom of the falls. There was a trout fish pond that was filled with 100 trout (no fishing allowed). Ariana and I ventured out and started hiking up the waterfall. Bear wasn't having it and was begging too come so we grabbed him and went to the other side of the falls. Are we were getting cold, especially Bear so we headed home. It was a great day getaway. We were able to sleep in, get a few chores done and spend the day as a family.
It is great to be together a full weekend and enjoy our Saturdays together. We have a lot of fun adventures awaiting us.
Left side by the falls, people hiked up
there and hung out, to really cool!
Know fire kayaking and river tubbing,
Which to would love to do. The river is full of people in thier tubes.
