Vacation Day #2

Today was a nice day we got to sleep in and the 3 of us woke up at the same time 8:15. Enough time to relax a bit then get ready for the reunion picnic. It was a great time. I was amazed at how many people still looked the same, and how many people I didnt recignize at first until everyones sunglasses came off. Amazing at what sunglasses do to a person.
There were still the cliques which I expected. I didnt really go out of my way to say hi to the people I knew but didnt really hang out with them a lot. So interesting to see everyone growing up and with the kids. Something I never thought about, or crossed my mind were the kids. Yeah, we are all the same general age so why wouldnt all the kids be the same age??? yup, that never occured to me. Most of the kids there were really well behaved, Ariana, most of the time. Shes been a difficult child lately to begin with.
At the beginning of the reunion only a few people were there and more people slowly started to come. There was probably about 40 families or so. it was a good group of people for sure. My class was only about 150 so not a bad group showed up.
At the picnic there was great bbq food and squirt guns for the kids and a bouncy house. Ariana was excited about the bouncy house until she found the squirt guns. She had never played with them before and thought it was the best thing in the world! We couldnt get her to put them down and share. It was great to see everyone and catch up with the people I would hang out with and talk to on a daily basis at school.
After the reunion we came back to Kari's house and let Ariana play in the water for 30 minutes. She had been waiting for a week to play in the sprinklers. The weather hasnt been the best for sprinklers so today was the first really nice semi clear day for her to do that.
At 3:45 we headed down the street to the bowling alley and played bowling with Kari and her family (cecil and cj) and Dana. Its so awesome again to have friends to hang out with and call up and say hey wanna go bowling???? I dont really do that  awhole lot at home. So busy with L.I.F.E. Although we definatly have our fair share of hanging out with friends, and we have a handful its just so great to be home and be with the friends I have had for 10+ years!!! I love Elko, so glad I have the chance to come back and really enjoy mysel (because 2 years ago Will ended up in the hospital for 5 days after a day into our visit). Im not really ready to go home, but I do gotta say, it will be nice to be back in the city with so many opportunities around us. Love the friends I have back at home but Elko and my friends here will always have that special spot in my heart! Cant wait for my next trip back home :)
Now for tomorrows adventures- a blast from the past- Lamoille Canyon!!! Look forward to tomorrows posts...
