THAT time of year

It is THAT time of year again!
I cant believe my little princess is turning 5 on Monday, and that school starts Sept 5th! I can't believe I had a preschooler for 2 years and now my little preschooler is going into Kindergarten. I have no doubt this coming year will be a wonderful year for her. Ariana is so bright she has a fantastic future ahead of her! So with it being time to get ready for Kindergarten that means its time for school shopping!!! I love shopping 3 times a year in particular. No kidding that i LOVE shopping any other times but school shopping, Christmas shopping, and summer shopping are by far my favorite. Ive been looking forward to school shopping all summer. Forget the summer shopping, no huge need for shorts here bring on the fall shopping. We donates some clothes and kept our favortes from last year since she is still in size 4. Then went crazy with school clothes. So I thought I would do a little preview. She has a lot more we got without her and saving until her birthday so what I am previewing is everything she chose.
she has gotten into "rock star" stuff so here is her rockstar outfit, super adorable

and then she wanted preppy. i gotta say its one outfit i would have never expected her to want- yes she will grow into the shirt

she chose her backpack and is insistant on buying the matching lunch box. i might go back and buy it just to make a match

another simply adorable preppy outfit. the matching pants havent arrived in the mail yet

no, this is not a robe, its a sweater. i will be taking back to the store and buying the smaller size.

Then... we gotta top of the school shopping with ear piercing. We had talked about doing it for several years now but punching a hole in our daugthers ears was not something we wanted to take lightly so with her acception we got them done tonight. Now, 2 days ago we went to have them done and she backed down but last night she said she wasnt scared anymore and she wanted them done.
she chose the crystal rainbow daisy earrings

with the Claires bear to help her feel more comfortable

She did so well! She chose out her earrings and sat on the chair. I asked if she wanted to sit on my lap and she did. Will was at the movies with a friend so he ran over to the mall and met me where he got teary eyed while watching it get done. He also video recoreded it. She expected a pinch but the first earring was more than a simple pinch and didnt want the second one done but we buckled her down and she got the second ear done with no crying! Shes such a strong girl! She was so happy to see her beautiful ears! And we are so proud of her! Shes very responcible and Im sure she will remind me of cleaning her ears. Overall, she said the ear piercing didnt hurt and is ready to buy more earrings and change them out. Once the 6 weeks hits she will be a high flying little girl.
