moving update
Ugh, it is so not fair!!! Will has gotten sooo many calls from jobs in the last two days, I have recieved 2 emails. Its a bit disappoiting for me, but I am exicted too for Will. He has been off work for 4 years it is about time for his big break! But man I wish I could get a job to call me.
However, we have decided on our moving date, it was pushed back becuase of a few snags in the road so half od me is thankful no jobs have called me because I have to wait.
So today we have set a moving date... the weekend of July 28th. I will either have my last day at work on the 28th while Will packs up the truck or I will have my last day on Friday at 27th before we pack up the truck. We will have the UHual for 5 days so Saturday is a packing day, Sunday is the last Sunday in our ward and dinner with family then early Monday morning we will be on the road. We will arrive at our new apartment Monday evening, and unpack the Uhual on Tuesday, then turn it on Tuesday mid day.
In July Will and I are leaving Ariana with grandmas and head to Utah Sat evening after I get off work and come home Tuesday evening. Sunday will be spent with family and just getting things ready for the next few days then Monday we will tour our new place and do the application fee and deposit. Then Monday and Tuesday I hope to have some job interviews lined up.
We decided on an apartment over the internet but we think it will turn out great. It is in a prime location with tons of places to work nearby. The Elementary School Ariana will attend is 1 block away! It will be a new experience for her to walk to school. The day care center is next to the complex so we will get her enrolled there for after school programs. Daycare will be a new experience for her but with her being 5 I think she will adjust to it better than if she was younger. With Will having a job I am hoping to get a parttime m-f job where I might be able to be home by 2:00 so she wont have to spend more than 3 hours in daycare. Another new adjustment will be made is school is year round. I love the idea of year round school, I think it is fantastic! Kids are sooo bored during the summer, they loose a lot of thier knowlege during the summer. Year round school will allow her to still have nice breaks and a good month long break in July but not loose everything she has learned. A friend was telling me about a LDS based private school about 15 minutes from our new place that is super affordable so if both Will and I have jobs, and we can afford it Ariana might be a private school girl!!! Otherwise once we are there I will put her on the waitlist for a charter school which is comparable to a private school.
Also, the homes are soooo affordable there so we are very much looking forward to buying our first home!!! We have already been looking around online to get an idea of what money can buy there, and we like what we see!!!
We are so excited about this move! There are so many positive things about it. Oh another great positive is Kari (my BFF) will either be coming to Seattle and helping us drive down, or come to our new place when we get there and help us unload. As soon as she knew this was really serious and not just us tossing ideas around she quickly volunteered herself to help us! I am only going to be an easy 3 1/2 hour drive from Elko to see her and my brother more often!!!
There are a few crazy things about this 8 years ago, even 3 or 4 years ago I said I could never imagine going back to Utah. But never say never because you never know where the Lord may need you. Also our single apartment complex is split between 4 wards, seriously 4 wards! Will called one bishop that said no, your not in our ward but call this bishop, so he called another bishop that said no your just out ouf our bounderies but call SLC and ask headquarters. Headquarters gave Will another bishop to call which informed him that our single apartment complex is split between 4 wards and 2 stakes so depending on which building we are in will be which ward we attend. I can think of this happening because the complex is huge and our complex can be a ward in itself so to avoid that they split it up into seperate wards.
but.... this is where my mindless ramblings off my blog title comes from because I am doing just that. So I am going to be heading off to bed. Good night readers!
