Will probably won't like that I am posting this but it's a goal, and what's the best way to achieve a glad? To write it down.... So....
In one year, or just over, exact dates haven't been figured out yet Will and I are going to say "I do", again, but this time for eternity. We are making big strides to return to church. Will is understanding more of the church and learning more and we are making big strides to finally get sealed as a family in the temple.
We might have our big day in December over our 11th anniversary, it might be a bit before in the fall, but what we do know is we have decided as a family to get our life in order and go to the temple. Really tho, we are in Utah and we have a temple in our back yard and 3 more within 15 minutes so why not prepare and go to one of those. But really, this is where the writing down a goal comes in play, we don't want to go to just any ordinary temple, we want the castle temple. We are going to get sealed in 2015 in San Diego and we are going to celebrate as a family by doing a southern California family vacation.
So, if your reading this, and you want to join us start making plans for a year from now and join us in San Diego :-) and after we get sealed we are coming back home and having a big celebration. We hope to have the wedding reception we never had. It's crazy to think that I am potentially starting to plan a second wedding reception.
But, we are excited, and I wanted to share the news. I'm not all preachy, but I wanted to explain this for those of you who don't know or understand what I'm talking about.
Mormons believe that temples, like there were when Jesus was alive. And in a temple a worthy Mormon member can go inside and do things that are sacred. Temples are worshiped as a house of God. LDS (Mormons) believe that you can be sealed to your family so when your in Heaven after death you will continue to live and be with your family, but that can only be done in a sealing ceremony in the temple. There are other things members do in the temple but that's basically what we will be doing. When we got married, almost 10 years ago, it is "until death do you part" but we have the chance to never have our marriage broken apart once dead.
Will and I have had a pretty rocky marriage, but we have come together as a family and try to become stronger. Honestly, we have been trying to pray as a family and read our scriptures every day. The last 3 days we have been to busy where we haven't and the past 2 days we have been yelling and fighting and all 3 of us are not getting along. For us, it has really helped having God be the center of our home. So, that's the newest news of our life that I am giving out. Good night, time to sleep.
