Will wanted a date night. I was trying to plan a date for us. My goal was to do something we have wanted to do for a long time but havent ever done. Everything I was coming up with was going to cost us a lot of money. I was giving up hope to try and come up with something on a budget that we would both enjoy. Will decided to take it into his own hands and scheduled the sitter earlier than I had planned on Saturday. Will wouldnt tell me where we were going. We dropped Ariana off at the sitters house, a huge shout out to Kayla :) and headed into Seattle. I had expensive on my mind, even though I knew we had a budget so as we were driving into Seattle I was thinking we would do lunch at the Space Needle, Ivars, or Cheesecake Factory. Instead we headed to my favorite Red Robin (anyone that knows us well knows we LOVE Red Robin). This Red Robin is on the Seattle waterfront and has a killer view. I LOVE the water and I love watching the ferries and Argosy Cruise boats come and go. We used to go to this restaurant all the time when I first moved to Seattle. We walked over to the Bainbridge Island ferry but decided it wasnt worth the 45 minute wait for a 35 minute ferry, again, when we first got married we enjoyed riding the ferry and going to a new island. Getting the theme??? Bringing the past- present. I told Will we could spend $20 with parking if we went to Pike Place Market. We have only gone to Pike Place 2 other times, and we could buy some fresh fruits and veggies for Ariana, a freshly made cinnamon roll, and see the gum wall (which I have heard about and never seen- GROSS!). We decided after to go bowling and out to dinner. It was a fantastic 5 1/2 hour date. I was ready to go home and snuggle with my girl. Home, as a family, just the 3 of us, with Bear, is where I enjoy being. It was a much much needed date with my hubby. I love you Will <3
