We have stayed very busy this summer. We decided not to go on any big vacations this year but instead we have enjoyed places we have around us and hanging out with friends. We started our our summer with a small staycation where we did several fun places in the area- Museum of Flight, Zoo, and swimming at a local rec center. Then in June Ariana had her last day of Kindergarten, and her her dance recital. Once dance was officially over I felt like we could officially start summer. So then we move onto July.
***July has been a very busy, fun month. We went to the same place we go every year for the 4th of July. We went to the parade, and then the park where theres food, live music (this year the music sucked), bouncy houses, park, and lots of other fun family activities. We met some friends there and it ended up being a small girl scout gathering. So Ariana had friends to play with. We always enjoy the 4th of July.

We found out thru some friends that there is a new indoor trampoline park that just opened up so we went there one evening after work. The trampoline park had a huge kids jungle gym type thing, its like an oversizes mcdonalds play place that is 10 times bigger and better. Ariana had a lot of fun. We also went to Fort Casey for a picnic with friends. I love the drive to Fort Casey we hung out until dusk playing in the field, baracks-type buildings, flying kits, taking walks, and playing frisbee. We brought Bear and he had a blast with us. I think he was most excited to get off his leash and fun circles once all the people started to leave the park.

Mid July was my Birthday and I decided it would be fun to go to Jetty Island for my birthday. It was so much fun I LOVE having a California-type beach right here in Everett. Some friends came with us. I got burned like a lobster and a week and a half later I am almost fully healed. My burn was so bad so we havent really gone out too much since doing that. We went and saw Turbo as a family last weekend. My review- great family movie, not really worth seeing if you dont have kids but its a cute show and must watch sometime wether with kids in the theatre or when it comes out on dvd. It is done by Pixar so like always, another great Pixar movie. We went back to the Rec Center for swimming with some friends and that was a lot of fun, like always. Ariana wanted to stay in the hottub but we wanted to go into the lazy river so when Will grabbed Ariana she was kicking around and Will misstepped and fell onto the cement so hes been taking it easy at home and letting his badly bruised knee heal. Today was the first day he could decently walk without hurting. This weekend is another fun weekend. We are going to a Mariners game with some friends for Girl Scout Night, it is Lake Stevens Aquafest this weekend, so like always we go to the inlaws house and go to the carnival, parade, booths, and finish Saturday off with fireworks. Saturday after work we are going to the Outback Kangaroo Zoo with the Girl Scout troop. Right now we dont have a lot of things planned for August. We have a small family trip planned where we are going to the Great Wolf Lodge for 3 days for Ariana's birthday and we are having our niece join us. Then going to Portland for a day and Seaside for a day.
Hope everyone enjoys their days of sunshine and summer.
***Pictures of Ariana's dance are professional and we do have the copywright on the pictures.
